Squeaking V-berth

G'day again team

Anyone got any ideas about removing the squeaks from the two wood panels in the V Berth?
planning on rubberizing the lip around the storage atm but very open to advice from others who have solved the problem already.
Thanks as always team, really appreciate it.

Move your v-berth "sessions" to another area ;) ...

Can you elaborate as to where the squeaks are coming from? Along the edge, which one? Middle? Have you pulled everything up a and made sure the wood and whatever it is touching are clean? I.E. not grit rubbing on the fiberglass.

What did you come up with? First real cruise on Shadow this weekend and the boards are very squeaky too! The piece that drops in the notch is the noisiest.

Wouldn't adding rubber INCREASE the squeaking?   I would try some teflon tape or something similar first, even waxed paper as a McGuyver first.

Righto team
Firstly, I have no idea what "sessions" you are speaking of hahahahahaha
secondly, I took a good amount off around the edges of the panels around a quarter of an inch, then used some rubberized paint around the edges underneath the wood.
90% of the squeak is gone hoping that our mattress topper will also help with dispersing the weight a bit better and will get rid of the last 10%.
Good luck to all!!!
