Salon cushions for Cat 36 MKII

I need to get new cushions because it seems to me that the old ones are too "nasty" to be recovered. What is the best way to accomplish this? I can't find a distributor anywhere. please e mail me rbencivengo@lex-usa.com

One option I would suggest trying would be to go to a local upholstery shop or two and ask them to price out making you new ones. This way you could also get whatever covering you desire. Then compare to pre-made purchased cushions to decide which would work best for you.

Ben, you are aware that Catalina yachts is still in business. Why not call them? There are many resources for recovering cushions, from local as suggested, to complete replacement, to DIY. Why not do a search on this board for "cushions?"

And may I add that it would be great if you post your findings here so that others in the same situation will benefit. The value of the forum is enhanced when we share sources and solutions rather than working through private email. Just a thought.

I did this on my C30 and found Catalina was the best price by far since they don't have to start from ground zero, even if they did have to ship them from the left coast to NJ.

One consideration I did discover (on this purchase and when I bought jack stands). for some reason I don't understand, if you have them shipped to a commercial address (your marina) there is a difference in the cost. You might want to check on that since it was a nice piece of change as I recall (it was a number of years ago.

Typically shipping to residential addresses does cost a little more.
