Refurbishing Teak

Has anyone tackled the teak trim around the galley?
Any tips?
Melamine paint was suggested to me, not sure how it would look. We would love to modernize the galley!
thanks.

What teak?   I believe that it's mahogany...With my boat (hull1813 -1999) I used Emtech products EM2000 gloss and semi gloss

further to my last post...so there's a big section here on interior coatings and though they all seem to agree that emtech is the correct product, they do not agree with my saying "what teak" .  To me, it always looked like mahogany.  Teak is grainier, darker, and does not take varnishes.  But I'm usually completely wrong...

I might just try teak oil. Thanks for your response!

For the past 20 years I have used the products from Target Coatings. It's easy to do and maintains the light color of the TEAK trim.
