Rail-pads

Who's got them?

These are for the upper stern seats, so you aren't leaning against the rails. I have been tying throw floatation pads there, but am thinking of buying the actual manufactured cushions.

$96 from Catalina.

If these are really worth it, I might look around for a cheaper product.

I got mine from Catalina a couple of years back for $80 something. If you are not particular you can also get something similar from the link below. They do make it easier on the back.

Have you considered pool noodles?

Have you considered pipe insulation? Available at Home Depot, Lowes, ACE etc. Heck you might be able to wrap it with colored electrical tape if RED, WHITE, BLUE, YELLOW or BLACK rocks your boat.

allan,

thanks for the link. more expensive from the factory website, but i can choose a color that is a closer match to my canvas than the factory navy color.

noodles might work, but definitely don't want whatever i use to look ghetto.

I got mine through Zarcor...

They use sunbrella which has a ton of colors and more than likely to match your bimini/dodger. They charge by the inch for the foam and cover.

Blair, it's a set of 2 so if anything it is almost 1/2 the price, not more expensive.

.

Best bet is to spend $1.99 on pool noodles, and slit them to fit.

Keep an extra pair in the garage just in case...

They look and feel great. Boat guests love them!

Capt. Rick,
An upgrade for $1.99 is my kind of upgrade. A few questions: do you slit them totally in half, do you hollow out the middle to fit the rail, how do you attach them to the rail? Thanks for the idea.
