Potable Water Tannks

I am looking to add a potable water tank under the V berth in my '93 Catalina 36.  Given limited access the best option I have seen is a 24 gallon tank that is shaped for the bow from Ocean Link.  I have no experience with this company.  I'd be interested in feedback from anyone who has used their products.  Also, if anyone who has done this has some advice it will be welcome.

Hello Bob,

I have a 1993 Catalina 36 and I have a vberth fresh water tank.  I'm sure it was original equipment. I believe it's 30 gal tank.

So, does your boat appear to ever have had a tank in the bow?

Hi, thanks for your response. Unfortunately my boat never had the forward tank. It’s rather interesting in that this is a two cabin boat but it was plumbed for water and fuel as if it was a single cabin which doesn’t have the forward tank. So, this is a new install and to minimize the scope of  work I want the tank to be able to be installed through the access to under the V-berth. The best option I have found to date is a 24 gallon tank shaped to go in the bow from the company I named. I would love to have the 30 or 34 gallon tank that would normally be in a two cabin boat. But, ...

The potable water and holding tanks in our 93 were supplied by Ronco Plastics and still available. We dont have the bow tank but good chance they supplied that one as well. Might be worth while contacting them or Catalina to see if they can supply a model/part number. Otherwise Catalina direct one for the 36.

Thanks to all.  I missed the tank on Catalina Direct when I first checked there.  That is a viable option.  I think the one from Ocean Link may fit better and leave more room under the berth for storage.  I still would love to hear from someone who has used an Ocean Link product.
