Portlight Window Coverings Ideas, Please

Our new-to-us C36 (Mk i) had awful chintz gathered curtains stuck up on the port lights inside.

Two, questions...

1) What have you done for privacy / curtains on yours? Photos?

2) I've cleaned up the screw holes drilled for the curtain hardware. What is best to use to fill the holes and match the interior gel coat?

Thanks!

(edited 'cause I can't type for beans)

On Trilogy (Hull #53) we removed the old slide-style curtains and their plastic frames.  We made single panel Phifertex curtains, about 12" wide and the length of the cabin.  We added length to allow some gathering.  We made a sewn "pocket" the length of the top and bottom edges into which we inserted 1/2" dowels the length of the cabin.  We painted galvanized conduit clamps and installed them with a flat washer and a self-tapping screw (basically, we re-used the ones that held on the plastic frames).  These acted as cupped hands to hold the doweled curtain against the cabin interior.  The dowels flex enough to smoothly lay against the cabin.  I did not refill the holes from the plastic frames- i reused most of them to secure the curtains.  I am not at the boat, so I cannot include pictures.  This method seemed simple and effective to me.  The port lights on Trilogy do not move and generally I am not trying to look outside from down below.  You may be able to create panels that would move between the conduit clamps by placing a spacer behind the curtain against the cabin.  I wanted privacy and less sunlight intrusion quickly.  I did not make the curtains more stylish and functional.  That may come later.  I hope I described it well enough for you.
