My 10-yr old son Joaquin was at the helm as we pulled up anchor and sailed homeward from our anchorage on Santa Cruz Island yesterday. He shot his first fish and we had it for breakfast before we departed. Together with a friend, he took the dinghy ashore and came back to the boat.

I think the hook is set. I'm the happiest, proudest dad in the world right now.
