Hi all. I secured an NOS Westerbeke oil filter relocation kit on eBay at a nice price and I'm excited to get it installed. For those of you with oil filter relocation kits... where did you mount them? I got a couple of 90 and 45° elbows to assist with this project and still I'm not quite sure where is the best place to put the filter mount that the kit hoses can actually reach. We have a Mk 1.5. Our coolant reservoir currently mounts on the bulkhead to port of the engine... and we have a 12v oil change pump mounted on the starboard side above the dipstick access hatch... though I could relocate these too if need be. Thank you in advance for any feedback.

Personally, I just throw a diaper beneath the oil filter (or fuel filters) during filter changes. Diapers catch the majority of the mess and paper towels clean up the rest.
