I may need a new headsail for my cruising life in CT on my 1998 tall rig
150? 135?
Local loft? Mail order? Cheap offshore?
Probably can go from $1,300 to $4,000 Worth the difference? About 10 yrs ago went expensive route from local loft, Kappa. Has been somewhat disappointing.
Who is reputable and makes a quality product? Who stay away from?
Any advice appreciated.

We purchased our 135 from Doyle Sail in Marblead MA for $2913 in 2014. They've done a lot of work for us over the years and are very knowledgeable. They recomendaded a 135 for the Boston N Shore area and type of cruising we do. I can't speak for the performance of a 150 vs 135. This summer seemed to blow harder than usual, and we were mostly reefed. I noticed that the jib sheet track on our boat probably should have been placed bit further forward to better accomodate a reefed 135 Genoa.
Isn't LI sound noted for relatively quiet summer air?
