New Fridge installed and working fine

Hello all. After my 18 year old AB fridge went out this summer, I intalled a new and improved unit from SeaFrost that I'm pleased with. I was able to greatly increase my freezer space while cutting back on power consumption.
I've written a how too article on the upgrade and would like to post it for others. Can someone tell me how I go about that?
Thanks
Sam

We really appreciate your thinking of the C36IA and making the effort to capture information for an article. The article should be sent to one of the Tech Editors, either Steve Frost (Mk I) or newly-appointed Bud Street (Mk II). Please email the article to them as a Word document file, indicating where in the article any photographs should be placed. Then email your photos AS FULL RESOLUTION JPEGS to them.

Some of us have email systems that cannot handle email total sizes much larger than 10 megabytes, so when attaching photos to send to the editors via email you'll need to keep that in mind. In other words, if your FULL RESOLUTION JPEGS are, say, about 2.5 mb in size, you can only attach four of them to each email you send. For more than four 2.5mb attached photos you'll need to send multiple emails.

We need FULL RESOLUTION JPEGS for publication purposes. Mainsheet needs the higher resolution for paper publication. But we have the capability to downsize the photos as necessary for our website's Technical - Upgrades and Technical - Maintenance libraries.

Thanks for thinking of the C36IA. These technical contributions build the C36IA value to our owners, and therefore enhances the overall value ($$$) of the Catalina 36 fleet. We exist to help support your boat, both technically and in overall Value to the resale market.

Larry - if it helps - you can set-up an FTP server and have any size photo or document uploaded to this site. FTP server can be set-up at the same server that hosts the forum.

Sam,

My wife and I are seriously considering taking the refrigeration plunge. Do you use your system off the grid much? What is the power draw?

We are looking for a solution (that probably includes solar for charging batteries) that will allow us to be under sail or at anchor for several days at a time, so power draw is a primary concern.

Eagerly anticipating your article.

Thanks,
Jeff

Hello Jeff,
"Coastal Alabama" not too far from me in St. Marks, Florida. We cruised over your way back in May, as far as Perdido Key.
I've written the article and included about 24 pictures. I tried to attach it to this post but the file with photos is too large. Send me your email address and I'll send it directly to you.

Larry, I can't find a way to get Steve Frost's direct email in the members search and the built in email response doesn't seem to have a way to attach anything. Maybe I'm just computer illiterate. Help.

Sam, Steve's email is SFrost AT corpairtech.com. Of course you take out "AT" and replace it with @. You'll probably have to break your message up into several and attach several pictures to each email, depending on the size of the pictures.

If that's a problem just send it to me as one email with all the pictures attached and we'll work it out, I have no limit on incoming email size as far as I know. bstreet AT teksavvy.com

Sam, that's great to hear. We're all so glad you're getting things back to ship shape. I'd love to get a copy: mraquaq at the aol dot calm.
