New Bimini Rain Side Cover

.

Finally got around to having my Canvas guy make a custom side panel to fit the existing Bimini top cover as it mates to the Dodger.

Makes for one rain-tight tent. Vary cozy and dry in a rainstorm!

With the clear plastic panel in the Bimini cover, I can see forward in the rain while staying dry. Great for motoring around a bit if need be...

CA is due for 80 degree temps soon, so I guess I'll have to put all this away until next year's rain season. Hopefully more than this year!

In the northern climates, these are pretty much standard equipment, other than for racers who eschew even dodgers. However, they are typically made of clear plastic and have zippered screens in them for bug time. We can have the enclosure up while under way and keep warm and dry, with all lines led back to the cockpit and full 360 degree visibility to keep an eye out for traffic. And have a nice room with a view while at anchor.
