For my Admiral's birthday in Oct, I got her a replacement 12V Hella Turbo fan. With Christmas, our 19th wedding anniversary, and Valentine's Day all coming up within the next 3 months, I need help.
Surely some of you have a more romantic streak than I do. Which of the aforementioned special days would match up best with the following gifts?

replacement A/C cooling water pump

Zarcor companionway doors

replacement Lewmar head hatch
Thanks in advance for your help.

First thing I thought of when I read your post, is the episode of The Simpsons, where Homer gives Marge a bowling ball for her birthday, monogrammed with "Homer". :)
I think if I gave my wife one of those things, especially for the anniversary, I'd be looking for ways to make the boat easier to single hand.....;) (actually, she's a good sport, so wouldn't be a problem).
I'd go with the companionway doors.

Thanks, Gary, but you misunderstood my question. My very lucky Admiral is getting ALL THREE of those gifts. [Yes, I know I spoil her.]
I just need help picking which occasion to match them up. :D

ah, in that case, I'd go with -
Christmas - Lewmar hatch
Anniversary - Companionway doors
Valentines Day - A/C pump (just in time for warm weather to come your way)

Good logic, Gary. Thanks! Hopefully the other admirals won't get wind of how lucky mine is.

Since you are giving her the gift I know price does not matter ,but what I did with the head hatch was sent it to hatchmasters to rebuild.Great job good price and I did not have to change the screw holes as I might have had to do with a new one

Thanks, Bill. I plan to try a lens replacement rather than a whole new hatch.
BTW, I really am getting all those things (and more) over the next few months. I kid with my wife that they are her presents for various occasions (like, 'Happy Groundhog Day, honey!) I thought maybe it would be a topic generating humorous replies but it fell flat.

Your email reminds me of a friend from our old work lunch crowd who gave his wife a pink, plastic, tool box for her birthday. We all congratulated him on the wisdom of his choosing plastic as it wouldn't hurt as much when she hit him in the head with it.
Hope you are as lucky!

My wife loves to cruise (lucky guy, I am) so with a 14 year old boat, something will stop working while she is aboard and I have to hear about it. When I order the replacement parts, I almost invariably say, "happy (insert occasion here)!"
The problem is that I am now buying her 'gifts' for occasions out to the year 2020 or so. :)
