Modification to salon table

Has anyone modified the fold down salon table to something more permanent?
would love to see photos and options!

I do not have pictures but when we had our Catalina30. It had a fold down table. I took and cut it so I had a 1foot leaf that could come out and store in the slot under the table when needed. I bought the required hardware online from wood working suppliers. Just an idea for you.

Of all the wood related upgrades I've seen on the C36, I must say John's are the best, IMHO.  He has these posted on this site.  There is an upgrade/modification to the table.  I'm thinking of doing that with my boat in the future.

Gosh, what an amazing job!  Talent and skill galore....  I'm envious.
His workshop must rival the cost of a new boat!
Will have to keep that post away from my wife seeing it....
