My first question for the C36/375 IA forum:

Has anyone mounted their wind generator on the top of their mast?

I'm thinking about a wind generator and will be trying to get as many amps as possible out of the wind.  I'm hoping that a 13 lb generator such as the Primus Air Silent X would not be too heavy at the end of such a long moment arm.  Seems like radar domes could be as heavy and there are plenty of them at mid-mast.

Seems like undisturbed air at mast top might be better for generating?
The blades would be more distant from neighbors and from sleeping cabins?
Wire size might be a problem, but using an AC to DC converter at the battery bank would allow smaller gauge wire in the mast?
Getting 400 W of solar on our dodger seems to be hopeless, but we might be better off with whatever solar we can make fit?
