Rob;
 Wow !  Those white cushions certainly brighten up our darker teak interiors. What material did you use for cushions ? and are they new cushions or were you able to re-cover existing foam?
 Was Lisa banging away on the old Sailrite or were they locally done ? I'm planning on doing the same next year and inquiring minds want to know !
Never the less - they look great !

We used a marine grade heavy vinyl in off white. New foam all around. Total cleaning sanding and urethaning wood work. It just about killed us!  We started on the hard and finished up on the water...took about two months of diligent hard work and two well used 3m vapor masks! The fumes are killer. We got the vinyl in a full bolt off of eBay for around 130.00 and had about 1500.00 in new foam so less then 2000. For the cushions. We went for the newer style like the current Catalina's are sporting. Looks fresher smells like a new boat! Lisa of course put the colors together!
I say yes or no if I like it haha! I like it!

Inspirational and a really good job. What is on your faucet?

It's a directional spray end that when you pull down changes to high pressure, push up regular pressure. It just screws on the end. Found it at Lowes. Helps wifey keep the sinks clean...

I think it looks great.  A lot of work but paid off handsomely..
Did you enclose the lower shelf to make it into a a/c duct?  I have an '87 and that area above the port table is bookshelves.

What did you use to replace the old fake wood grain laminate?

Nice!  Yes, very classy indeed.
Ours was also re-done in white, but vinyl (using original foam).  Yes, really brightens it up, esp the white table tops.

You are so right! The lighter colors just make it lighter and fresher looking! Yours looks great!

When we purchased Journey she had been outfitted with ac under the little table, as a result the lower shelf became a duct run. Our ugly laminate was replaced with real teak. Our table tops re laminated in white Formica.

If you don't mind the question what is the cost of doing this?

Ours (above) had already been done when we bought the boat.  Maybe Rob who started the thread can tell you what he spent.

If we had had it hired out? Probably out of our price range. Because we are the do it yourself originals...about 3000.00 US. A lot or sand paper, solvents, urethane, varnish in some areas elbow grease and mask filters! The pay off is she looks like a new boat. Lisa even made the runner out of a carpet remnant that she bound.

The white interior looks fantastic. Unfortunately the admiral would keelhaul me for the first grease stain.  I
