I am trying to purchase a 2004 C36MKII fin keel.
I had it surveyed yesterday and when it was hauled out I was told it weighed 22K pounds.
I have no idea how much water or fuel is in the boat.
I believe that the manual says 19.5K is how much they weigh.
Is 22K about average?

Our boat has been pulled and launched by several different cranes, it weighs 20,500 lbs with only fuel in it. By that I mean empty totally, no upholstery even and with the mast pulled. There's another thread on here about this with a lot of responses and that seems to be about what to expect.
Our boat with empty water tanks, full fuel, no rig and otherwise empty weight in at 21,500 lbs.
All the best with your purchase - you will love the boat.

The official displacement listed by Catalina for my wing keel is 14,100. When I launch and pull out, the lift operator says it is in the range of 18,500 or so with full fuel, but most things such as sails and personal effects removed.
