Thanks for replying. I had ready been there, but there was no indication of what M84F meant. Is the M or the F the month it was built? Is it and 84 Model or was it built in 84?

The google site had a letter and 3 digits not the format above.

It almost seems that is not a valid number from the little research I was able to do. Have you compared the HIN on your paperwork with what is on the hull itself?

Where is the HIN # located on our boats? I am use to seeing them stamped on the transom.

It looks like the HIN that started this thread is one of the Pre-August 1984 formats. If so, the M84 means the boat is a Model Year 1984 and the F indicates the production month was January. This link is to a document explaining the various HIN formats and how to read.
