mailto:sale-wgma9-1558995311@craigslist.org?subject=Dodger-%20made%20for...'%20Catalina%20-%20%243250%20(walnut%20creek)&body=%0A%0Ahttp%3A%2F%2Fsfbay.craigslist.org%2Feby%2Fboa%2F1558995311.html%0A

Todays 1/19/10 C36 Craigslist SF Bay Area find, it says this dodger was built in 2009 but, the windows look pretty hazy.

Does not look as thought the link copied, you can see this dodger by going to San Francisco Bay Area Craigslist and search Boats - Catalina.

Nice looking dodger but pretty expensive for used cloth goods. Is that the 36 that got wrecked on a beach recently?

I would agree the price looks high, I paid $3450 for mine three years ago and that included installation and a warranty. Mine was made by Pacific Coast Canvas in Alameda and I love mine.
This guy is obviously optimistic about the price of his dodger.

I do not believe this is the boat that went ashore in Monterey as I think that was a newer boat.

I stand corrected Nimue, I rechecked the story on the boat on the beach and I believe you are correct it does look to be the same boat and the owner is from Walnut Creek the same as the listing on Craigs.

I believe the Catalina 36 that was beached was in Santa Cruz, although I could be mistaken. In any case, I'm pretty sure it was a Mark I, if I remember the photo correctly. If this dodger seems high, it's almost certainly not from that boat. The person selling stuff from that boat was the surveyor employed by the insurance company. He definitely wasn't asking top dollar. I know. I bought the sails he was selling.

FYI.

San Francisco Bay Area Craigs List today 5/14/10 there is a listing for a dodger and bimini frame only, off a Catalina 36. Does not state the manufactrurer price was $165 as I recall. It does state the dodger has a grab rail on it.
