Does anyone know of a source to purchase hatch boards for a Mk II out of starboard? My wood boards are getting pretty banged up. I do not want doors and do not have the tools to make the boards myself.
Thanks,
Steve

I removed the 3 sections, sanded and applied a few layers of UV protected Varnish. I stored them for when I sell the boat. The replacement was 2 pieces of 3/4" plywood ( 60% bottom piece and 40% upper piece) that I sanded, varnished and I cover them with Sunbrella when placed on the companionway. That was 5 years a go and it is working well.

Thanks Haro. The problem with my wood boards is they have chunks missing from the corners. I like the durability of starboard so I will ask around the harbor for a referral for carpenter who can copy mine in starboard.

If you find someone who will do this, let me know. I'd like something identical produced; will pay shipping to Seattle; if he's willing to charge less for 2 we can split the difference. PM me.

Did you check with Zarcor? They make the doors but I don't see why they couldn't make hatch boards. They are experienced with working with starboard. I have the doors and love them them with kids and air conditioning they are the best investment I have made.
