Cockpit Table Sources?

Hi All,
I'm looking for any interesting folding cockpit tables out there to replace our fairly odd (and tiny) aftermarket table.

Larry Brandt posted the attached photo in an unrelated thread that I stole for the purpose of this discussion. It was apparently a factory upgrade option for his '02. But, they aren't available anymore...

What do you have in your cockpits for entertaining large groups? I once saw a slick design in white poly that folded out toward the bow first (so, twice as long as usual), then each of those panels folded out side to side... I feel like it was a custom job on a Hallberg Rassy, but - has anyone seen such a thing on the market? (I'll try to draw up a better explanation...)

We are just trying to figure out a way to entertain from the cockpit with a bit more table room....

Hi Steve. I've been thinking about a nicer cockpit table, too. I have the old teak "swing-up" kind which isn't very big or very stable. I checked Edson and after seeing that they want $ 1,085  for a modest sized cockpit table, I'm afraid that the best answer to your question - Cockpit Table Sources - for me, at least, might just be my workbench.:(

I hear ya, Mike. I was thinking the exact same thing! $1,000+ for a chunk of starboard and some fittings?

Unfortunately, I sold my whole shop (and tools) with my last house, so I might have to find a kind soul to make some cuts for me...

I already have the design in my head - just need to find the hardware to make it happen. Could be a fun winter/weekend project. Stay tuned!

Are you sure the factory option table is no longer available? Who was Catalina's vendor? Maybe the vendor is still in business.

Hi,
you might want to check with zarcor, they make an all starboard cockpit table i don't recall the exact price but it seems to be around 200 bucks or less and while i don't have their table i do use the like their doors. look at http://www.zarcor.com/products/c-tables/index.php
hope that helps.

Larry - Yep, but Dani from Catalina is checking on it... There's another one made for the 355 that might work, I guess. (Waiting for pic...)

Mike - Yep, I actually just ordered Zarcor doors for my companionway, but their tables aren't exactly what I'm looking for.

Time to get out the tools... ;^>

My cockpit table is the one that Steve is displaying on his post. I am trying to replace the tinted door that I broke. Anyone know where to get one?
Thanks for your help.

Any glass business will be able to cut you a replacement out of the same material. Just take in the current one for correct dimensions.
