Cockpit Table Replacement

Splashed today... went out for a test sail and went to place the cold one in the cup holder attached to the teak cockpit table and realized it WASN'T THERE... then remembered I had taken it home in the fall to refinish and had it in the garage.

The garage got washed out by Sandy taking a lot of my tools, two inflatable dinghies, and flooded my outboard (anyone need a 3.5HP for parts?). It seems my table is now somewhere between Sandy Hook, NJ, and England.

Can anyone recommend a good place to buy a replacement?

Thanks for the offer but last night I found the exact table we lost at Defender and ended up ordering that.

It appears you're covered, but in case anyone else is looking for one, or any other of a number of teak products, I have purchased several things, including my cockpit table, from Thai Teak Marine. Teak outfit in Thailand run by an American. Great stuff at reasonable prices.

I had been thinking about upgrading my pedestal mounted "luncheon" table to a fold out full teak table and Holy Moley! Edson charges $1200 for them. I have been looking on Ebay for a while, thinking a storm damaged boat might sell one, but nothing yet.

Next time your are down my way visiting relatives stop by my house and look at my table(s). I have three, one is the original, one is a small cocktail table and the third one is a folding table. It is not a nice teak table but a folding formica fold job.

The cheapest I found was the teak table with two folding "wings" from Defender. Cost $400 plus tax and shipping.

Normally I find defender very good as a supplier. In this case, the obviously sent me a returned table, and when I called, they suggested I call the importer directly .."thanks for the help Defender". In any case, the importer happens to be in Piscataway NJ 45 minutes from my house and when I called them, right away they said to close it up, they'd send me a new one and to ship the old one back at no cost, which they did within 3 days. Of course , they forgot to include the clips that fasten the table to the pedestal so that took another call but, it goes on the boat tomorrow.. Still a bit frustrating with Defender. Whitecap Industries is the importer. Don't know if they'll sell direct.
