Catamarans

There was a catamaran advertised on Cruising World stating it was manufactured by Catalina.  Guess they are making cats for others now.

Catalina is in partnership with Gemini to build the 2015 and 2016 Legacy 35 cats.  These cats have been in production by Gemini since 1981.  We went aboard a Catalina-built one at the Annapolis Boat Show.  Build quality was fine.  Storage and tankage is much more limited than our 36 MKII.

Cats, yes we have two of them. But CAT-amarans??? Personally, I prefer my boat to be longer than it is wide.

I have one of the Gemini Legacy 35's right next to me.  The only positive is the roomy cockpit and foredeck.  The interior is pretty limited compared to other cats I've seen.  And the owner was candid in saying it doesn't sail all that well.
