C36 MK 1.5

Hello all. I am new to the group and association and am immersing myself in all of the information available here. I am currently considering the purchase of a C36 Mk 1.5 (1993).  Just wondering if I should be paying more attention the the MK I or MK II information and tech notes. Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks.

We 1.5ers are an odd bunch indeed. In fact, I find I need to pay attention to boht for different things...and there is scant intel anywhere for our Universal M35AC

Both, I believe the 1.5 leans closer to the 1 than the 2 but that said the 3 versions are incredibly similar. The 1.5 interior space and cockpit is closer to the Mk 1.  The MkII deck and cockpit are wider as you travel astern. The 1.5 does give 2 closed door sleeping berths similar to the MkII. The factory attempted to improve and changed things slightly every year of production

Other than a change to the navigation station (seat and chart table) to accommodate the new door to the aft cabin in about 1993, the Mk 1.5 is identical to the Mk 1.  The Mk. II which came out in late 1994 was a new hull and deck mold with many alterations.  And yes, the Universal 35 original (not the 'B') has less info available for it than the M35B.  I can sent you the pdf files for it.
