We bought out C36 in July, have gone on 3 nice cruisies and have really enjoy our boat.
We have done a ton of upgrades and improvements to make her our own but it was not until we had it detailed and all the bright work redone that we really enjoy looking at her. WOW what a nice looking boat.
Morall of the stroy. Polish the SS, clean the rub rail, varnish the wood, and rub aout and wax the hull and look at you boat with brand new eyes.
What a differance it makes to your heart and soul.

On the subject of polishing your stainless, I found the stainless polishing cloths sold at West Marine are fantastic, They come sealed in a plastic bag and have an oily or waxy feel to them. It is amazing how well they work on the stailess, they clean and polish very quickly removing rust marks, the rags turn black after use but they still keep cleaning.
These along with those Mr.Clean Magic Erasers are products that work so well I am convinced they must contribute to global warming or will deplete the ozone layer and may cause pole reversal. The Magic Erasers I am told work very well on life lines and rub rails though I have not tried them on mine. I have used them at home and can not figure out how they work , don't know if they are lightly abrasive or if the have magic solvents in them but they clean greasy burn't on stuff off the stove quickly.

The fellow I bought my boat from was great. He was the only prior owner and religiously had the boat varnished & waxed every 6 months while he owned it. I've kept up the same regimen and you can "see yourself" in my hull. Not bad for an almost 20 year old boat.
