Two more roller wheels broke in my 25 year old Raytheon Autohelm auto pilot. Took roller wheels out, unscrewed the copper lined shaft to separate roller. Now gluing the shafts to the forward side of the clam shell. Tomorrow will drill out the copper lined shafts, and put in stainless steel 1.25" or 1.5" screw & nut, greasing the roller well. Nut on forward side of clam will be epoxied with JB Weld. Hoping to avoid $300 -$800 e bays used replacement ST-4000. I don't do open water ocean and have no need to by piston type Autohelm replacement. Any thoughts? Thanks.
