Anyway to shine the interior floorboards?

Does anyone know a way to shine up the floorboards on the interior - other than refinishing them? Most of it is good, but part of the floor - specifically under the salon table need to be shined back up. Any suggestions?
Thanks
Nancy

I was going to suggest refinishing just because it's so easy, but that area is not easy because if you have the U-shaped salon table those boards go up under the seat on the aft side of the head bulkhead and that whole thing has to be taken out to lift the boards. At least on our boat anyway, which is why it's getting refinished in situ.

The original finish is satin so they aren't very shiny even when refinished though.

One thing I wished I could find again is a product called ultimate soul. It has been the best floor finish we have ever used. I believe it is out of business,

Ultimate soul, I think I had that album back in the early seventies when Al Green was poupular.

Randy, I think if you take the religion out of soul and search Ulimate Sole as in under foot you will find Ulitimate Marine Products, it appears that their souls are still with us.

I do not know much about the product and could use some luster under foot. Randy tell us more.

Randy, I may need to swallow my words. I had gone to Ulitmate Marine Product website and looked at their information regarding Ultimate Sole finish, it souded great though when I retruned to the product pricing area I was unable to find the product listed. It sounds like it may be worth a call to see if they are still with us or are truely lost souls. You may have had a deeper insight to their fate. Sorry if I jumped the gun, it does sound as though it was a good product, maybe not a profitable product.

Last I heard Ultimate Sole is out of business. A good resource friend suggest going to Home Depot and buying basketball floor finish -- guess those guys can't afford to slip around...

Randy,

You were absolutly correct, Ultimate Marine Products is out of business. I called several of there listed retail outlets all of which are on the east coast.
All of them raved about the product and a couple stated that everone loved the product, some raved about the fact that they ordered cases of it but never recieved them.
Three of the distributors indicated that the company was reorganizing and was supposed to be back up and running in a couple of months, one of the guys I talked to disputed that, he was also waiting for back orders to be filled and had no faith in person running Ultimate Marine Products and voiced his doubt about them resurfacing. Sounds like a great product, my guess would be that UMP was just marketing someone elses formula with their name on it.

Hey, I'll give it a try and let you all know how it works. Worst case, we can play basketball on the way to Cabo this year! :D

This is the best polyurathane I have found for teak and holly floor boards. It comes in three finishes. I used the semi-gloss. See attached product sheet. It is priced at around $14/qt at home depot.
