Taking my C34 down the ditch to the Fla Keys for the winter. Anybody got a dock I can spend a night or two along the way?

Our dock is on the west side of the state, so that won't help, I'm afraid.
Hope you have a fabulous cruise.

We're in Pompano beach area, if you would like, we an find you some room. Decent anchorages around us also.

Ken, assuming you are using the ICW to go south, check out ActiveCaptain. It is free with registration. You can follow along the entire route and see markers for favorite anchorages and even FREE DOCKS. For example, if you stop in Portsmouth, VA, there are two free city docks where tying up for a few nights is perfectly fine (at least last year). There are also waterside restaurants that offer free dockage if you dine there in the evening.
Be prepared with a plan B for not all free docks are worth using. In Beaufort, SC, we were going to tie up to the wall at the river walk for free, but then saw we could only get off the boat at high tide.

I've been using Active Captain for years...and it keeps getting better. Getting a late start, Portsmouth will probably be our first night. Then beat feet south for the warmth :)

I spent more than an hour last year sending Active Captain a major and detailed update on Topolobampo, MX as it does not get many cruising sailboats. 98% of my update never made it into Active Captain and what remained was meaningless and bore no relationship to the information I had sent to them. Needless to say, I do not use or subscribe to them any more.

That is too bad, John. I would think that getting firsthand info for spots not commonly known would be appreciated.

We'll be departing Deale MD on Monday October 22, going as far a Hilton Head. Maybe we'll run into you.
