In-Hull Depth Transducer?

Anyone use this type of system?  If so what do you use and how do you like it?

Hi David,

I have used one since 2013, works just fine.  I mounted it across from the mast on the Stb. side under the lowest drawer in the cabinet.  I am attaching the Brochure.   I couldn't attached the Installation Manual, it was too large for this system.  If you're interested e-mail me and I'll send it directly to you.
Good luck.

As a follow up, my depth sounder off set is 4' 4".  We have cruised on the Great Lakes and have put on over 9,500 miles since it was installed.

Any idea in Salt water?  There info pack says something like boats to 25', I don't see what difference that makes, how does the transducer know how long my boat is?
