What is the box in the aft birth?

I have a 2001 MK II.  Being the curious type, I open and look in everything.  There is a wooden box in the aft birth just above the little window with the galley.   It hangs from the overhead and it seems to be glued to the top of the cabin.  Does anybody have an idea what that box is there for and what's in it?

Believe you will find it is the underside of the shelf that is formed in the galley and bulkhead for main cabin?

On my 84 MKI it is the underside of the countertop.
Look up thru the little opening in the Galley. You'll see it.

You are both right.  How did I not notice that was what it was.  It looks like a compartment for electrical or something.

How disappointing!  I was hoping for something fun.
