I realize this likely should go in the technical section, but I thought I would post it here first. My witness has stopped working, it is the 800 series, but I do have power to it on the meter and if I run a jumper cable to the battery ground there is a complete circuit.
A neighbouring boat who has some electrical experience thought maybe the ground had coroded, not allowing it to make a complete circuit. Does anyone know where these are grounded? I've been looking for it so far no luck. Thanks, Richie

I am not sure if the circuit breaker is on the positive or negative side. I would check that. It is not likely that the cable is broken. It is more likely that it has corroded contact or bad breaker. It could also be the foot switch itself.
