Rainwater in shower sump

I have an in mast furling system with a keel stepped mast so I am used to getting rainwater in the bilge after a heavy down pour. However I am also finding rainwater accumulating in the shower sump (standard configuration 2004 C36 MkII). There is no visible connection between the shower sump and the bilge. Any ideas / advice on where the 'freshwater' maybe coming from. It's nothing that can't be sponged out but not knowing the source is perplexing.

I truly have no idea, but I am curious if it could be condensation gathering rather than rain water.

Suspect it could be the window seal on the opening port could be the culprit.
