Auto pilot computer location

Good morning team!!!!
After two months of ownership I still have found where our previous owners put the autopilot computer.
Is there a standard spot people put it in a Mki?
Cheers

Hi Cam,

The first question is which type and model do you have?  The earliest wheel pilots came with just 3 components, the display unit which acted as the control, the motor drive assembly and a remote flux gate compass.  Later models add a separate ACU unit (Automatic Contro Unit).

I could be in many places and I don’t think there is a standard location.   In our case the EV-1 sensor is on the front side of the foreword head bulkhead (under v berth). The ACU is located in the aft cabin closet, a ruder reference and linear arm are located in the aft lazarettes.   I also have a fluxgate compass in the bilge area.   Look around in the lockers and hidy holes and you’ll probably find it.

Good luck
