Anode thru hull behind engine

Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone else has seen, what i believe to be, an Anode bolted thru the hull behind engine as shown in the picture:

Thanks

Russ;
Probably would not be an anode if bolted through the hull as anodes are declining/sacrifical metal. Do you think this might be a grounding arrangement for a radio ? I know I do not have one like that.

Russ; I'm going to guess that that is an old radio grounding plate. If it were a zinc, it would be of a soft erroding metal and would probably be gone by now. I have a 4" X12" plate attached to my boats bottom that is used for the purpose of grounding the Single Side Band radio setup aboard my boat. It is bolted through the hull, much as your is, and had copper strapping from the engine and the transmission to insure a sea water ground. I'll send you a picture if I get down to the boat.
