One of my off season projects is to replaxce the vent hose on my holding tank. Question I have is the size. Is it 5/8" ot 3/4" tube? Planning to buy Shields 148 SeriesVAC Heavy Duty. Figure 10 feet from tank to stanchion vent would be enough? One other question. Is there any trick to getting the tube off the plastic elbow on the tank without breaking it? I've only been the owner of ObLaDi ObLaDa since March 2018 (still on a big learning curve) and it looks like the tube has been on for quite a while. Some other tubing I've replaced on my water lines I've actually had to pry off even with the clamp completely loose. I certainly do not want to break that elbow or damage the tank.
Any suggestions or helpful hints on replacing this vent tube would be greatly appreciated.
Note I also see there is Trident148 Series VAC XHD Sanation hose. Any recommendation of Trident over Shields?
Thanks,

Tom,
Try heat from a hair dryer or paint remover. I sometimes have slit the hose with a box cutter.

I am in the process of changing out my septic hoses as well, did you figure out what size your vent hose was? I bought 5/8 inch hose and it is too small, so i guess i'm going up to 3/4. I am using the trident hose as well.

My holding tank vent hose size is 3/4". I need to replace my vent stanchion. Catalina Direct seems to only offer a stanchion for 1/2" vent hose. Does anyone know where to order a stanchion for 3/4" hose? As for removing the existing vent hose from the holding tank fitting I had to cut it with a razor knife as previuosly mentioned. Thanks!

My vent hose was also 3/4" ID hose.
