This has been posted deep in another thread but I wanted to make it easy to find.

Coolant circulating pump for the M25 engine (which is a D850 Kubota block):

Universal part #300203
Retail price $385.30

Kubota part #15534-73030
Retail price $108.00

Hope this helps someone!

I replaced these in 2012 on my M25 and those are the exact part #'s I had on file.

Thanks!

Channel Islander I note you are in Santa Barbara. I am in Channel Islands harbor. Do you know of a local Kubota dealer, as I need to get some other parts.

Thanks for the info.

There's a Kubota dealer right in Oxnard.

Last week my coolant water pump failed while I was on a cruise.  The old pump stopped turning and broke the fan belt.  There was no loss of coolant.  My guess is that a ball bearing fractured and jammed the pump because I could not turn it with my hand.  I was fortunate that the problem was discovered before the engine overheated.

I was really happy that a few years ago I had purchased a spare pump and had it on board.  It took an hour or so to replace the pump and get on with the cruise.

Kubota makes two pumps that fit the D950.  Be sure you get the one with the extra pipe out the top for the water heater.  I am sure that is the one with the part number provided.

Gary, just to be clear:

My post was about the Universal M25, which is equivalent to the Kubota D850.

The Universal M25XP is equivalent to the Kubota D950, and not the same as the M25/D850.

I also have the M25, and had the pump fail 6 weeks ago. It froze up and consequently chewed on the belt. Lots of smoke and drama for my guests. Removed the belt, sailed into the marina entry, and motored the last 90 seconds to my slip - the engine didn't even get warm to the touch.
I bought the replacement from Kumar Bros. online for $60.00, which included both the gasket and free shipping. It arrived quickly, and certainly appears to be operating as it should. I suspect it will last as long as any of the other pump options. Their part number is KBCO1003WP4.

My coolant pump started to show the end of its useful life this weekend by coolant leaking out of the weep hole.  Removing the alternator belt, I was shocked at how out warnout the pump's bearing was.  So warn that the cast impeller was rubbing against the pump housing!  Located the Kumar Bros replacement for the M-18, M-25, and M-25XP with the nipple on top, shipped with gasket for $35 on Amazon.  The pump for the M-25XPB is a different part #.  All the marine places were charging $335 - $350.  One local diesel shop was pushing me to purchase a replacement bearing and seal for ~ $140 and pay him $150 in labor to press out and replace the warn parts.  And that is with me bringing him the pump.  No thank you.
