Panel blinked out.

Lost all gauges, but ignition still works.

I have the wiring diagram from the M25 manual but could use a little more detail, electrical has never been my strong suit, but I'm learning.

Any ideas?

On the engine wire harness- you might have a connector with multiple wires feedining into it. If so, the connector terminals, or where the wires feed into the terminals may be corroded. That said, you would probably see some intermitent electrical problems with guages prior to everything going blank. The engine wire harness connector failed on my M25 on a 1986 C30 and I lost a couple of gauges. The connector was moleded from transparent rubber and all looked ok visually, but internally, it was full of corrosion.

Paul. Read this starting with the section on Trailer Plugs.  Those connectors are dangerous!!!!!

Les-
Pretty concerning info.
I ended up cutting the failed connector out and soldering all the wire connections- guess I was lucky to do that. Had I realized the Ameter charging system/wiring was so undersized, I would have replaced that. Fortunately, there was no indication of cooked wires that I saw.

If you lost gauges but still have ignition look for a fuse or circuit breaker at or behind the engine panel.

I agree with Les.  This happened to me just yesterday.  I started the engine fine, but noticed none of the gauges were working.  My panel has a white breaker button just above and to the right of the key switch.  This had popped out.  I pressed it and the gauges came to life and functioned normally thereafter.
