Cockpit Drainage Scupper T Joint

Hi All,
I have a 2002 Cat 36Mk II - the supper drain from the two cockpit floor drains (either side of the helm) has detached at the T-Junction that leads to the transom through hull fitting. In a following sea the bilge can take on water unless I plug the hole (a Moet cork does the trick nicely :)) A couple of questions:
1. How on earth do you get access to that area - it looks real tight?
2. Is there somewhere I can get replacement t-valve and through hull bits?
3. (sorry) Anyone else had the same issue?

Our former commandant, Duane Using, had that issue 2 or 3 years ago. He reported that it is possible to get in there but that it is a challenge. I do not remember if he reported it on this site or his cruising blog on sailboats.com under Diva Di.

Just search scupper for the article
On the MKl with the walk through stern there are no scuppers.
If you need access to the thru-holes I suspect there is a bulkhead in the aft cabin you could remove to gain easier access? I have removed the bulkhead in my boat several times to gain  better access to this area.

Hi Gary. Thanks. Yes, there is a hatch in the rear cabin bulkhead - my mission is to squeeze through and try and reach the area AND wriggle back out again. The hatch is quite small and I'm not exactly 'sized to fit'! Might try the old washing-up liquid trick! Hadn't thought about removing the bulkhead entirely - not sure if that's possible but will take a look.  It would sure make it easier. Thanks again for your input.
