Spinnaker Deck Rope Diagrams

G'day
I have yet to hoist my spinnaker.
There seems to be parts missing (e.g. pole up, kicker, Sock hoisting halyard, Brace/Sheet blocks.)
Does anyone have a complete rope/rigging deck layout diagram for a Catalina 36 MkII?

Hi Mike

I strongly suggest using the Search tool on this site. It's very efficient at finding relevant articles, and the truth is, almost everything has been discussed here at least once!

I searched for 'Spinnaker' and found several threads that should be helpful to you, including one called "Cruising Spinnaker for Catalina 36 Mk 2" and one called "Deck layouts" .... start there and see how you go.

Thanks

Nick

I would suggest, as a retired J35 fore deck man, you wander the dock and find a racing boat coming in. You offer the crew a case of cold ones to show you how to set things up, and you might then score a ride in a race as "rail meat" and learn much about how to hoist and douse as well as trim the beast.

You didn’t say what type of spinnaker you have.  Is it an asymmetrical spinnaker or a traditional spinnaker requiring mounting and using of a pole?
