Modifying USCG ownership documentation

My father and I have co-owned our C36 for about 10 yrs, although he hasn't really had any active use of it in 5. Now he just wants to be off of the title all together. What is the process for doing this? The USCG site doesn't seem to address it very clearly.

From my recollection the following is all you have to do. I'd suggest double-checking though. The number to call them is on the back of the Documentation. They are really nice folks there in West Virginia.

Find a Notary Public and find out what form of identification is necessary
If both you and your father are listed on the front of the Certificate of Documentation, then on the back there's a "sale or transfer" area. You sign your name as the new sole owner here.
With the Notary Public as a witness, you and your father sign in the "signature of sellers" area on the back.
Fill out Form CG-1258. In block "I", make sure to check #1 (exchange). All of the other stuff is self-explanatory.

The last time I checked, they accepted copies, faxes, or email images of all of the paperwork as well as electronic payment of fees.
