Has anyone done a refit with another, easier to obtain water muffler product other than the standard Catalina one supplied with a C36 MKll.

I was going to go this route a while back when replacing the engine but the price was a bit over the top in my opinion, can the old one be repaired? That's what I did for mine..I repaired the fiber glass around the inlet tube and the outlet tube and it turned out good as new although slightly larger in diameter. The problem with my old one was over-tightening of the hose clamps by the PO had caused the tubes to collapse and begin to leak. If its damaged to far your better safe then sorry, after all its exhaust so don't take any chances as you may not live to regret it:)

When I bought my new Aqualift from CD last October, they gave me a long lead time (weeks), and required 50% down. The muffler arrived 2 days later, with the other 50% charged to my Visa. :)
But I still have serious Aqualift issues that I'll post in a separate thread.
