Last week I removed my genoa for service and cleaning.
I am not sure my boat has ever had the sails professionally cleaned, so I figured I might as well have the main cleaned too.
It is an in mast furling main. Obviously I need to have the main out before lowering it. I know it sits in a slot, and wondering if there are any tricks I need to know before doing something stupid?

just checked it out. looks pretty straight forward, but sail does not appear to be that dirty. I'm not going to have it professionally cleaned at this time.
there is a little green molding looking stuff on the bottom.
maybe just a little soap, water, and scrubbing?
