After sailing 100 miles in the Southern Straits race on my friends Express 37 this weekend, I also managed to get out on my boat. Was about 16 degrees Celsius (that is something big in F). Not too shabby for April 1.

You lucky dog! We had snow last night and today it's blowing seven bells and well below zero. It's my fault though I took the snow tires off both cars on the weekend. We thought spring was here, planned to take the cover off the boat on Thursday, but maybe not.
East Coast is the same. COLD. Low of minus 8 C high of maybe 1... Last year I was in a tshirt... Snow tires are still on :( I will wait till mid april.

Jason, that ain't no April Fool joke, either. 16C = 61F. Here in Portland, Oregon, on Saturday and Sunday we had two record high temps, 77 degrees F both days. Saturday's beat the old record by 3 degrees F, and Sunday's by 6 degrees. Our 'Burning of the Socks' ceremony must have worked.
Burning of the Socks...see YouTube, a spring sacrifice to the gods of sailing weather.
