I hope I'm not breaking any rules here but if you are thinking about a battery monitior for your boat (as I am) you have to read the article written by MaineSail on Sailnet.

I believe MaineSail is a member here as well - or was. Any way - he deserves a Major Kudos for this kind of input to the community! :)

Thanks for the plug! :D To make it easier here it is...
EDITED: Okay never mind.
Admins PLEASE adjust the settings to allow up to 30000 characters or more! Also please don't limit the number of hot linked photos to just 4 using the feature. That article has approx 20+ photos and your limit of 4 is, well, very limiting, to the sharing of good information. It's one reason I stopped posting articles here.
I tried to make it easy for C-36 members, save a trip to Sailnet, and post the article here but was limited in "characters" to 10k and photos to just 4. Makes it hard to post good detailed articles here!
Please adjust the settings and open up the opportunities for this forum!!!

Maine Sail also posted it on catalinaowners.com. I'd started a discussion of shunts on our C34 board, and linked to that one, since there is a good discussion after the post.

Maine Sail,
Thanks for all the good contributions you have made here.
I will discuss your request with the rest of the board and see what we can do. Please be patient; we are all volunteers with busy lives and (for most of us) work.

No rush! I am a mod & admin on SBO so know & understand how it goes.. This should not be hard change in the admin panel and was probably a stock setting in the software. We use vBulletin but I would guess your admin panel is similar.
Here are some ideas of what can be done with the better forum settings:
