Taking Over "Nomad"

Ahmed (previous owner of Nomad) says hello to everyone.
I am her new owner. The original plan was to bring Nomad to its new home in East Greenwich Rhode Island this upcoming Saturday. However, due to SW WINDS which will reach 25 TO 30 KT in BUZZARDS BAY accompanied by showers the trip will most likely not happen until the weekend of May the 9th.
She is my first boat and even though i have sailed her may times with Ahmed, this will be my first summer taking her to my destinations.

Welcome, Konstantin, to Catalina 36 ownership and our forum. Ahmed was a good contributor and we hope he is doing well.

Good luck with your relocation cruise.

Welcom aboard, great way to come about a boat having already crewed on the boat with the previous owner. Now Ahmed can crew for you, drink your beverages.

I know the supersition about changing boat names but, I think you should consider the name Opal so you can sign in as Konstantin Opal.

I suggest that you do a proper boat renaming ceremony before you move the boat.

No reason to "bip" the nose of the great ruler of the oceans and seas.

Konstantin:

We also bought a friends boat that we had sailed on many times as he moved up to a bigger one. We are still very good friends and the warranty service is great. I just tell him is is still under warranty. He just laughs. But the nice thing is you know what your getting. Good to have you here.

Thank you all,
Ahmed is doing well and getting his center cockpit 43' barge ready for the summer.
Opal would be an excellent name. Because Ahmed is from Turkey this would make it even sweeter. I have a lot of memories associated with Nomad, renaming her would be like renaming an adopted child :). I have looked at a lot of names, this one is so intriguing.
I am not sure if i am getting any warranty on the boat, but a 24/7 customer support operator will be available.
It is good to be here.
