Wondering about installing a self tending jib system and wanted some input from anyone who has some experience with them. I currently have a 1989 36ft tall rig with a roller furling jib. Is it feasible to reef the jib to make it work with the self tacking system? How do you run the sheet rope? I've seen 2 ways, up the mast then back down, or forward to a block, then back to the cockpit. What is it like on a beam or broad reach? I'm sure I have more questions, but lets start with these. Thanks in advance.
