I have a Marine Air Systems CMP16K air conditioner aboard my 1999 MK II.  It's crapped out.  I was hoping to find a plug and play replacement but from what I can tell so far the plug and play replacements have changed their geometries relative to my set up.  Mine is narrow and long (fore and aft) and the new ones are wider (port to starboard)...the compressor canister, for example, lies adjacent to the evaporator/grill location in the new configurations.  This means that, though there's plenty of room for a replacement air conditioner, it's like putting a rectangle into a square.  Does this make sense to anyone out there?  Anyone out there have a sugestion?
