Cutlass Bearing removal tool

Hey Everyone,

I'm going to be replacing my cutlass bearing next month during my yard period down here in San Diego. Does anyone have the removal tool here in Southern California?

I have a 1984 Catalina 36.

Thanks,
Michael

Sadly it went missing some time ago.  Many other solutions are mentioned in the archives, usually involving making a custom sleeve and a gear puller with a jury-rigged solution.  I couldn't figure that out, so I had to drop out the rudder (hole dug below it in the gravel of the hard) to slide the prop shaft out, then hammer a screw driver in between the worn thin cutlass bearing and the cutlass wall, squeeze the cylinder until it collapsed and could be extracted.  Not elegant, but got the job done.  I never could get the new on banged all the way in (too much hammering on the new bearing will warp it and make the prop shaft impossible to slide in), but as it was only out by about 1/8th inch it has been no problem for 5 years.
