Radar Wiring

The radar wiring on First Light  consists of 10-12 wires connected to two small screw/clamp connector blocks. One wire, I believe the one that transmits the signal, is very small in thickness and has a tough translucent jacket (Teflon, Polyethlene??). The wire inside the jacket is about the thickness of a human hair. It is virtually impossible to the strip the jacket without breaking the wire. I've tried slicing the wire down its length with an exacto blade, but that typically results in cutting the wire also.

With mast removal every season, this wire inevitably breaks in the connector and it takes forever to create a clean wire strip to reattach it to the connector.

Any wire stripping ideas out there? Burn it off?

Try bringing it with hot soldering iron or a bick lighter.
