I seem to have a small smoke leak at the junction of the engines manifold and exhaust elbow. I’ve changed the gasket and tightened the clamp as much as possible and it’s down to barely noticeable but still there. Should I double up on the gaskets? Put some putty or grease on the gasket?

Maybe put some soapy water around the suspect area to pin point where the gasses are leaking? Maybe a light coat of "form a gasket" type goop on both sides of the gasket, making sure both gasket contact surfaces are super clean and smooth. When finishing tightening the nuts, alternate tightening each nut 1/3 - 1/2 turn.
