Insurance carrier in Florida for non-resident

Hi all, I just bought a 36 mkI in Florida and was surprised to find my insurer does not provide coverage for vessels over 35' in certain states, Florida included, and that others will not insure for me if I don't have a residence in Florida. Does anyone here have any recommendations for carriers that will insure a 36' for a non-resident?
Thanks!
David

Congrats on your new-to-you boat, and welcome to the forums.
I have no specific answers to your questions (not in Florida).
For what its worth, we formerly used Markel, and now use Geico, which we got via Boat-US https://boatus.com, which has an insurance program for members.   Have you tried them?

I'll try them...apparently the weekend is not a good time to get coverage. Thanks for the info!

Thanks so much Catboat! I have renewed hope :)
While I did find a solution at roughly $1000/year I wonder why I seemed to have such a problem, at first, while so many have been able to get even just liability (I'm told that no longer a stand alone option). I'll do some more searching... I have one vehicle with Geico already, so maybe I'll go with them.
What a jungle!
Thanks again.

I have my boat (31 yrs old) insured with Liberty Mutual as well as HOI and Autos and I believe it is about $650 annually
